Mike has been around microphones most of his life. In fact, one of the “handles” he uses on his social media is “Mike Raphone”. He started out in high school working in the school district’s recording studio, producing multimedia presentations. His entire career has been centered around audio and video production. He has extensive experience writing and producing commercial copy. Mike’s true passion is voice over. He has been at it for over 15 years and loves everything about it.
Mike is also an award winning video producer and Professor of Communications. Mike has considerable classroom teaching experience in audio and video production. He is easy to work with, friendly, and fun. Dedicated to his clients and their needs, Mike is a professional in every sense of the word. As part of his academic and creative scholarship, Mike was awarded the “Best of Festival” King Foundation Award, in the Broadcast Education Association Festival of Media Arts for a Radio Imaging piece he produced and voiced. This prestigious award is one of the top honors given to faculty as part of the BEA’s annual convention. The BEA Festival of Media Arts is an international refereed exhibition of faculty creative activities.
The protection of the environment is something Mike whole heartedly believes in. He recently switched over to driving an all-electric vehicle and feels it was an excellent decision for the health of human beings (less toxins being put into the air), and for economic reasons too. Mike is an advocate for electric vehicles and loves being a spokesperson for the environmental cause.
In addition to his voice and production experience, Mike has training and education in Fire Technology and safety, and has been trained in CPR. Mike has both a B.A. and a M.A. in Communications, and a Multimedia Design Certificate. Mike loves putting his voice and production experience to work for you.
